about

This movement is from a larger work entitled 'the body is a choir room' with texts by Andrew McMillan written in collaboration with members of The Sunday Boys of which the movement takes its title. It is an ode to the choir celebrating singing and how, as (predominantly) gay men, the bodily act of making sound together with our voices has a strong correlation with other forms of physicalness. It was shortlisted for the ISCM British Section in 2019.
